I have chosen to get active for the Royal and raise funds for the RBWH Foundation.
On July 31, 2021, The Modern Momtrepreneur is hosting it's 2nd annual experience. This will be an intimate, upscale event packed with takeaways. Guests will enjoy a three-course lunch at Michelin-star restaurant, Gravitas, powerful guest speakers including 2x WNBA Champion, Alysha Clark, a refreshing bar selection, incredible gift basket (valued over $300), raffle tickets (for prizes ranging in value from $50 to $500), opportunities to shop with local women vendors, an insightful mini-workshop (theme: “Make Your Own Magic”), networking opportunities with other brilliant women, and more! This will be an environment to connect, learn, grow, and empower.
The Modern Momtrepreneur is largely focused on creating a community of women that share knowledge, exchange insight, network among each other, and support professional goals. However, we understand the reality of the business world, and that is our women are undervalued and often not in a position to afford/access networking opportunities. And so, we are humbly asking for donations to this event, so that we may provide tickets to various guests who may be unable to attend otherwise.
As we seek to expand our community and share resources, we want to be deliberate in ensuring everyone has a seat at our table.
In addition to facilitating a welcoming, enjoyable environment, we are seeking donations for our nonprofit of choice, the Autism Society of Florida.
The Autism Society of Florida (ASF) is the change we wish to see in this world, and they operate based on donations and grants. So, we would love to give a sizable donation, to help our autism community.
Here are a few fun factions about how ASF is all hands-on deck within the Autism community:
- NO ONE on the Board profits for holding their position. EVERY Board Member volunteers their time. This is a genuine, real effort from each person at ASF.
- ASF facilitates parent support groups on the 1st Tuesday of every month. Autism parents, you are not alone.
- ASF provides the UCLA PEERS program, a 12-week evidence-based program for motivated young adults interested in learning social skills.
- ASF creates hurricane kits to families in Florida, providing noise-cancelling headphones, coloring books, and cool sensory toys.
